Chris Evans Takes To Twitter To Slam Donald Trump Over Controversial Comments
President Trump has recently drawn some fire over comments he made to the press.
While discussing trade relations with China, Trump declared, "Somebody had to do it, I am the chosen one. Somebody had to do it, so I'm taking on China. I'm taking on China on trade, and you know what? We're winning?"
While many believe the President was joking, others found his comment worrisome.
Some believe that because his comment was accompanied by him spreading his arms and looking to the sky, that he was sincere and does believe that he is "the chosen one."
Chris Evans made his feelings known.
He retweeted the video of the President's comment and added, "If Barack Obama looked to the sky and said ‘I’m the chosen one’, even as a joke(which this wasn’t), everyone at Fox News would look like they just peeked inside the Ark of the Covenant."
The scene he is referencing comes from the film 'Raiders of the Lost Ark.'
