Michael J. Fox Celebrates 'Back To The Future's' 35th Anniversary

There are certain movies out there that basically everyone likes. Everyone loves the actors, the plot is iconic, and it makes a huge impact on the world of pop culture. Obviously, Back To The Future is one of those movies, and it recently celebrated a pretty huge milestone (that also made me feel, like, incredibly old).

*Back To The Future* was released on July 3, 1985.

The film follows Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly as he travels back in time with the help of his friend, Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown. In the past, Marty has to navigate getting back to the future and making sure his parents fall in love — while also playing a rockin' concert along the way. It really has everything!

On the film's 35th anniversary, Michael J. Fox shared a fantastic shot from the film.

Universal Pictures

"It’s been 35 years since Back to the Future was released... woah that’s heavy," Michael wrote alongside this shot of himself playing the guitar in the film.

I can't believe the movie's been out for 35 years already!

Fans have been celebrating along with Michael on social media.

One fan called it, "a cultural phenomenon and one of the most important movies in the history of cinema! A masterpiece that brilliantly mixes comedy, sci-fi and wholesomeness into one! A film with many, many memorable legendary quotes!"

They've got that right! What's your favorite line from the film? Let us know in the comments!
