Man Who Changed His Name To 'Michael Jackson' Is Switching Back After Documentary

A lot of people have done a lot for the celebrities they love -- buying merch, attending meet n' greets, even getting tattoos -- but one Englishman, John Lomas, took things a step further by legally changing his name a few years ago to "John Michael Jackson." He told the Telegraph:
"During my childhood I had various obsessions and special interests growing up and one of those has been Michael Jackson. A few years ago I went to LA and soon after that I changed my name to Michael Jackson legally."
Post 'Leaving Neverland' Regret
However, after watching the HBO documentary Leaving Neverland, which documents Jackson's alleged sexual abuse of children, Lomas has found that he can no longer support the singer. The claims made against Jackson are not new, but apparently this documentary was the last straw for Lomas.
Can No Longer Support Him
According to Lomas, the proof is no longer in Jackson's favor:
"I have supported him blindly for years and but it has come to a point with everything recently that I've thought, 'no more'. There is too much doubt and I'm now left with this name that I need to get rid of."
Hurting His Job Potential
He worries that the name could potentially hurt his job potential and could lead to awkward questions in interviews.
"I'm trying to get into the care profession but every time I do a DBS check I have to disclose my full name and if I'm going for a job like that it looks really bad that I've chosen to change my name to that of an alleged and believed paedophile."
Crowdfunding The Change

Lomas is looking to change his name back to his birthname, and is crowdfunding the fee to make it legal.
"I've asked for legal advice and there is nothing I can do to change my name back by deed poll without paying a £120 fee, which I can't afford."
Wanting A Fresh Start
Mostly, Lomas is just looking to put the past behind him, including his fandom for the King of Pop.
"I just want to put this behind me, I can't have this name hanging above me anymore, I just want a fresh start."
This is making your bad tattoo look pretty tame by comparison, isn't it?
