Family Magically Transforms Their Yard Into Diagon Alley From 'Harry Potter'

Imagine if you lived next to a neighbor that went all out with their outdoor decorations. This super cool family took inspiration from Harry Potter and transformed their entire back yard into Diagon Alley full of amazing Potter props.

And you won't believe how many elaborate pieces they create every year. Check it out for yourself.

This Austin-based couple, Joel and Amanda Pace, are huge "Harry Potter" fans and have been transforming their yard into a Potter paradise for the past three years.

I think it's safe to say they take their fandom to the next level.

The idea came about when Amanda was going through cancer and the family wanted to cheer her up.

It has since grown into a community event and a fundraiser.

Their vast display features sights that will be familiar to any "Harry Potter" fan including the brick entrance to Diagon Alley, Ollivanders Wand Shop, and the Weasleys' flying car.

They totally nailed it with their DIY recreations.

The Knight Bus and fire-breathing dragon that guards Gringotts are some exciting new additions to the already impressive decorative display.

Wow, this is simply something else. Am I right?

When the family noticed neighbours really enjoying their simple decorations back in 2017 they decided to go even further in 2018 and transformed their yard into full-on Diagon Alley.

I'm sure they didn't expect the display to get so popular.

They added a King's Cross mural to this awesome Hogwarts Express replica to give it that complete "Harry Potter" feel.

I bet everyone who saw it really appreciated it.

Also new this year is this impressive three-level Knight Bus that looks almost too realistic to believe.

This must be such a cool sight to see for visitors.

Joel and Amanda couldn't do this alone so they rely on the generous help from a lot of volunteers and family members to bring this awesome display to life.

It definitely takes a team to pull this off!

Joel uses installation board instead of cardboard as his primary building material.

It's more sturdy than cardboard and you won't run into trouble when it rains. And it always rains in Austin.

There's no manual when it comes to recreating something as massive as this.

So using foam that's easily bendable has been a life-saver.

To be able to recreate something like this ice cream shop Joel used pictures as his inspiration.

Then he set out to make a smaller replica of it.

This "Harry Potter"-themed display is so impressive people come from near and far to see it.

There are huge line-ups to get to view the whole place.

Entire families even show up in full Potter costumes to fully experience what the Paces have to offer during the whole tour.
