Recenty, she shared a super spooky Instagram tutorial in which she transformed her daughter's hair into a black googly-eyed spider fit for Halloween.

First, Kate used a foam hair donut from accessory store Claire's to wind a giant bun on the top of her daughter's head.

Then, she used a black temporary hair color spray from Walmart to spray the bun black. Of course, this is only really necessary for lighter hair colors.

Being the inventive and crafty mom Kate is, she also made sure to create a hair shield that perfectly wrapped around the bun as to not dye the other parts of her hair.

If you're worried that the black hairspray might not come out, have no fear.

Kate said that it washed out with zero problems.

Next, she stuck a few pipe cleaners into the middle of the bun and wrapped them over the bun to create some legs.

Kate then secured each leg with a bobby pin and cut excess pipe cleaner to shorten the legs.
