Joaquin Phoenix Made Sure Everyone Followed One Rule On 'Joker' Set

Let me guess... no sending out used condoms to co-stars? No dead rats allowed on set?

No doing things that Joker would do if he was less of a criminal mastermind and more of a 12-year-old?

The 'Joker' movie came out recently.

DC

It's faced some scrutiny with critics, a lot of scrutiny with the PC people and a lot of fans have said they have enjoyed it.

So, take from that what you will.

But, here's a little piece of movie trivia for you:

DC

Apparently, the guy who made the movie, Todd Phillips, talked to his star before he started shooting.

Todd said to Joaquin Phoenix:

"I loved your tape. I just want to make sure that you’re not an asshole because one person on set can really ruin the whole vibe of the thing."

Apparently, Joaquin replied:

DC

"I don’t care who you cast, just make sure everybody is a really good actor — and no assholes."

Which, you know, seems like a pretty good rule to have everywhere.

So, there you have it. There was a strict "no asshole" policy on the set of 'Joker'

DC

This probably means that everyone on set was as nice as can be!

Which is good to hear, you hate it when you read something about someone being lame onset (Ahem, see Suicide Squad behind the scenes details, ahem).
