Actor and comedian Kevin Hart was involved in a devastating car crash in the Malibu Hills at the beginning of September.

Kevin Hart Breaks Silence With First Public Statement After Devastating Car Crash
Kevin was not driving at the time, and had two friends in the car with him.
He was in the car with a friend, Jared Black, and Black's girlfriend and personal trainer Rebecca Broxterman, who were originally trapped in the car after the crash.
Both Kevin and Jared sustained major back injuries.
Rebecca did not require hospitalization at the time of the accident. A police statement released indicated that Jared, the driver, was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Kevin has released his first statement since the accident.
Kevin's attorney, Andrew Brettler, told CNN that Kevin is "committed to the physical therapy regimen and getting stronger every day" although will likely not return to work until next year.
Kevin's attorney also had a direct message from Kevin himself.
The statement read, ""I have nothing but love for Jared and wish him and Rebecca a speedy recovery."
