They got super real in a recent interview about what it's like for them to parent without that wine glass!

And a lot of great celebrity parents.
We've got great role models like Mama June, Farrah Abraham and of course the best of the best, Dina Lohan, to look up to as parents.
Oh, it turns out those celebrity parents weren't all that great.
Well shoot, are there some examples of parents who aren't total and complete nightmares? Hello, can anyone do this right? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Ah yes, a national treasure who has made us laugh for years and Dax Shepard.
These two are some of the best parents out there, or at least that's what the tabloids have told us.
And they seem to love their two daughters, 4-year-old Delta Bell and 6-year-old Lincoln, so very much.
I mean, just check out these Instagram pics! What a happy looking family!
Which... doesn't sound like the worst of ideas?
Sure, the world is filled with all sorts of memes about mommies drinking wine or whatever, but these two seem to do to it sans stimulants.
“We vacation almost exclusively with three other families who all have kids, and certainly at night, I’m super jealous of them."
"So I’m a little bit jealous in the evenings."
And that's no surprise.
After downing a bottle of wine the night before I am genuinely surprised that anyone could get up and deal with a bunch of children.
"And those voices are three times as loud with a hangover. So I just have to focus on when the win is, which is always the morning."
“The wine meme is a very funny thing. I suppose I take it as generalized ‘kids are stressful.’ I personally don’t have wine every day, but my wine is Netflix and cuddling with my husband or our date night,”
She says about drinking while you're parenting your kids:
‘Remember that you’re an adult. It’s OK if your kids are stressful and annoying. It’s OK to take time for yourself,'
In fact, she and her husband feel no pressure to drink when their friends do.
Dax has had some trouble with drinking in the past, and it's great he doesn't feel pressured to drink when others do.
Here's how it goes down, apparently:
"In fact, our friends are usually sensitive to it, and they look to me like, ‘Is it OK if I pour myself a drink?’ And Dax will notice and say, ’Oh no listen, I lost my privilege of drinking, but you didn’t lose your privilege. I think you should have a drink.′"
However, that is something that is apparently pretty prevalent throughout their whole parenting strategy. They parodied it in this video they did for a company called Lightlife.
Here it is, for those of you who are interested:
He said about his honest upbringing:
“My mother always told me everything. She trusted that I could understand if she explained it to me, and I think I felt respected by that. A trigger for me when I was young was being lied to. I didn’t like feeling lied to.”
And thank God, because it was hard to keep hearing about all these terrible parents in Hollywood.
It'll be fun to watch their daughters grow up and see what kind of women they become!
