Marvel movies are just popcorn flicks and Scorsese makes serious movies...
And have been for the past decade...and will probably continue to be.
But not everyone is super happy with that.
She thinks that Marvel movies are actually "diminishing" cinema.
She wants the era of Meg Ryan back (which is fair, she was in some good movies).
He said, and I quote:
“I don’t see them. I tried, you know? But that’s not cinema,”
Of course, the entire internet all... how do I put this politely... lost their freaking minds?
Close enough.
Yes, Scorsese even had more to say:
"Honestly, the closest I can think of them, as well made as they are, with actors doing the best they can under the circumstances, is theme parks."
"It isn’t the cinema of human beings trying to convey emotional, psychological experiences to another human being.”
James Gunn, Joss Whedon, all these people came out and pretty much all said the same thing:
"I love Marton Scorsese, but I disagree with the fact that our movies are not cinema".
This Twitter user makes a very valid point!

Hey, Marvel fans are a dedicated people.
They don't go down without a fight, that much is for sure.
Who said to Variety:
"I mean that’s like saying Bugs Bunny ain’t funny. Films are films. Everybody doesn’t like his stuff either."
"Everybody’s got an opinion, so I mean it’s okay. Ain’t going to stop nobody from making movies."
Do you think that Scorcese is right? Or wrong? Or you don't care because everyone has a right to their own opinion?
