Amazon Is Selling Storm Glass That Predicts Bad Weather Days Before It Arrives

It's a pretty common sentiment across the board that weatherpeople never predict the weather correctly. We've all been there where we watch a weather report in the morning, predicting sun all day, but then we get caught in a downpour without an umbrella that we could have brought with us if the weather person predicted correctly!

Maybe this storm glass from Amazon can add extra validation to a weather person's forecast.

This funky decor piece isn't just a trendy vase for flowers.

It's storm glass, and it predicts when weather is going to get wild.

Storm glasses are made of chemicals that come together and crystallize in a specific way that allows people to predict the weather, up to three days in advance of the system!

They were invented sometime in the 17th Century, but rose in popularity in the mid-1800s, as they were used by a British Naval Officer, Admiral Robert Fitzroy.

So, modern storm glasses are a vintage revival.

I wish I could tell you how it works, but it's still a mystery to this day!

According to Weather Station Advisor, studies have suggested that crystal growth is affected by temperature, so there could be something there.

Unfortunately, no one is certain that they are accurate, but they certainly look good as a chic decor piece!

As someone who is extremely scared of storms, this might be something to invest in. Or maybe it would be bad...

For $10 on Amazon, I'm willing to try!
