People Are Accusing Jana Duggar of Photoshopping Long Skirts Onto Stranger's Bare Legs

19 Kids And Counting star, Jana Duggar, is being accused of photoshopping long skirts onto strangers legs in the background of her photos. Fans are not having it.

If you've ever seen "19 Kids And Counting" you're probably familiar with the fact that the Duggars have a pretty extensive list of rules they have to follow.

TLC

They are devout independent Baptists.

For example, their father, Jim Bob, must approve of all courtships.

The Spec

He isn't your average protective father.

If he doesn't approve of the relationship, then there's no chance it's happening.

The Duggar women are required to give their husbands whatever they want.

The mom, Michelle, said: "you always need to be available when he calls," regarding the role of a wife in the Duggar family.

The children are not allowed to speak to anyone that has had sex outside of marriage.

The Duggars are very adamant that sex shouldn't be had before marriage. They take this rule especially extreme, forbidding their children from socializing with anybody that they can prove has had sex out of wedlock.

All dates must be chaperoned.

None of the 19 children, no matter their age, are allowed to go on a date without supervision. If neither of the parents can chaperone the date, the responsibility falls on one of their siblings.

They are not allowed to have social media until they are engaged.

This is Jim Bob and Michelle's way of protecting their children from any outside temptations that the internet may offer.

Which brings us to the most important rule: All of the female Duggars must wear dresses or skirts.

Shorts and pants are forbidden, and the dresses and skirts must, of course, be relatively modest.

That being said, Jana Duggar has seemingly taken the dresses and skirts only rule to the next level.

In a recent Instagram post she shared, fans noticed that she had superimposed a skirt onto a women's bare legs in the background of the photo.

"Stopped by the Tontitown Grape Festival!," she captioned the photo.

"Spent $5 on a game I never had a chance of winning, but memories are priceless! #smalltowngirl"

The negative comments began to flood in, criticizing Jana for imposing her rules on complete strangers.

Jana has since deleted most of the negative comments under her photo to save face.

But many of the previous comments went something like this: "If you can't handle the clothing that other people wear, then stop going out in public".

"It catches your eye as soon as you look at the picture," another person wrote.

"If Jana doesn't want to share a photo that shows people whom she considers to be dressed immodestly then that's absolutely fine, it is her page and she is allowed to share what she sees fit," someone else commented.

"But what is not acceptable is imposing her own personal standards on other people without their consent... by editing their appearance in such a way."

"Blur the background of the photo so you can't tell what anyone is wearing, or just take another photo altogether. It is not difficult," wrote another.

Hollywood Insider

"The Duggars expect to have their beliefs and standards respected, to not extend the same basic courtesy to other people is hypocritical to say the least."

"Wow... altered this photo to make the girls behind you have modest clothing on," one fan said.

Patheos

"Don’t think people are blind enough to fall for your joke of a photoshop. At least just crop them out of your picture instead of indirectly shaming and disrespecting them."

Let us know what you think of Jana photoshopping a skirt onto a stranger in her photo.

Should she have done anything differently?

Do you think it was necessary?

Some people were more concerned about the quality of the photoshop job.

This Twitter user also referenced the strict rules in place for the Duggars, since Jana is not engaged but still uses social media.

Others pointed out that Jana forgot another detail.

There appears to be a young man in the background lifting his shirt up and flipping off the camera, which is probably to most people a bit more immoral than women wearing shorts.

Jana's push for modesty is surprising given the other Duggar's recent social media posts.

Jill Duggar and her husband Derick have recently garnered a lot of attention for their frequent posts about their sex lives, with some people thinking they're going into way too much detail.

It all started when Jill shared this shot of the Kama Sutra.

After receiving backlash for posting this, Jill edited the caption on her post to read, "We are not recommending the Kama Sutra," adding that "The little book pictured is a modern, smaller, cleaner, edited version that doesn’t focus on spiritual aspects, homosexual, or other extramarital relationships, and again, we don’t take everything in there either as the truth."

Jill and her husband also offered varied advice on how often a married couple should be doing the deed.

Jill wrote on her blog that, "3-4 times a week is a good start," while Derick suggested on his blog, "5-6 times (or more) a week is a good start."

This sparked a bit of controversy.

When fans were curious about their views on birth control, it seemed that Derick had suggested that he and his wife do use it, which would likely go against the fundamental beliefs held by the larger family.

They're not the only Duggars to go against tradition.

Jinger Duggar (now Vuolo) has broken the mold far enough to even wear pants on a semi-regular basis! It looks like some of the adult Duggar children are loosening up a little bit when it comes to the rules imposed by their families.

It's not clear if Jana would feel the need to photoshop a shirt over her sister's pants.

Jana herself has not responded to any of the comments or drama surrounding her Instagram post, but I bet in the next crowd shot she posts, we won't be seeing any suspicious lengthy skirts in the background.
