Robert De Niro Is Suing An Ex-Employee For $6 Million Who Watched An 'Astronomical' Amount Of Netflix At Work

In the most relatable news story you'll hear today, a former employee of Robert De Niro's loan-out company is being sued for six MILLION dollars on a count of being a very lazy, very expensive employee.

The former employee, Chase Robinson, is being accused of embezzling money and binge-watching Netflix while on the job.

Canal Productions, De Niro’s loan-out company, has also accused Robinson of racking up thousands of dollars in hotel and restaurant charges, as well as using millions of De Niro’s frequent flyer miles for her personal trips.

According to the lawsuit filed on Saturday, Robinson was hired as an assistant for De Niro back in 2008.

She was later promoted to “vice president of production and finance” at Canal Productions, and her 2019 salary was $300,000, which is A LOT of dineros.

Enough dineros to be buying her own groceries, yet apparently Robinson made $12,696.65 in unauthorized charges at Italian resturant Paola’s over a two-year period, in addition to $8,923.20 at Whole Foods and Dean and Deluca.

The real kicker? She spent $32,000 on UBER'S AND TAXI'S.

The also company alleges she spent “astronomical amounts of time” watching Netflix during work hours.

Her favs? Friends, Schitts Creek and Arrested Development.

The company alleges that during a four-day period in January, she watched 55 episodes of “Friends." And in March, they claim she took a whole four days to watch 20 episodes of “Arrested Development” and 10 episodes of “Schitt’s Creek.”

Hey, at least she has good taste.
