Terri Irwin Says Steve Would Be 'So Very Happy' After Daughter Bindi's Engagement
Steve Irwin, the Australian zookeeper and conservationist known as 'The Crocodile Hunter' was a staple in many of our childhoods.
He lived a truly extraordinary life.
He met his wife, Terri, in 1991 while visiting wildlife rehabilitation facilities in Australia.

The pair were engaged four months later and were married by summer, 1992.
They had their first child together, Bindi, in 1998, and their second, Robert, in 2003.

He once described his daughter as "the reason [he] was put on the Earth," according to Terri. "The only thing that could ever keep him away from the animals he loves are the people he loves even more."
Sadly, Steve tragically passed away in 2006 after a stingray attack to the heart.

He was stabbed by the stingray "hundreds of times" before he sadly met his demise.
Now, Steve's children are all grown up.

Bindi, who just celebrated her 21st birthday, is now engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Chandler Powell, and her family couldn't be happier for her.
Chandler actually popped the question on Bindi's birthday.
That is by far the greatest birthday gift I could ever imagine? Can someone propose to me on my birthday, please?
She's one lucky lady!
Bindi announced the news on her socials, with two photos of herself and Chandler.

“On my birthday I said ‘yes’ & ‘forever’ to the love of my life,” she wrote.
“Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you," she continued.

In an interview with People, Bindi shared her excitement in even more detail — gushing over her shiny new fiancé.
“I am overjoyed to be sharing the news that Chandler and I are engaged!," she said.

"This has been the most special day celebrating my 21st birthday.”
"I’ve met my soulmate and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Chandler," she continued.
