9+ Tweets That Perfectly Sum Up 'Game Of Thrones' Season 8, Episode 5

Okay you guys, we need to talk about the latest Game of Thrones episode.

A lot happened, and a lot of people are seriously angry about it.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

A large portion of the fan base is very upset about the latest "GoT" episode.

We were promised a "huge" episode, and we certainly got that, but not the way we wanted.

Some people are requesting a do-over.

Was it so bad that we would be willing to wait another two years just for a better final season?

This was the moment we knew the episode was going ALL in.

And as devastating as it was, we all knew that Daenerys was descending into the Mad Queen.

This needed to happen.

But you know what did NOT need to happen?

The total garbage treatment of Jaime's character arc.

Fans really thought that he was going to kill Cersei, not wipe her tears away.

This is what happens when you leave the elephants at home.

I mean, really though. They lasted all of three minutes.

Not going to lie, that was one of the more impressive scenes in the episode.

If anyone questioned Grey Worm's devotion to Dany, you don't have to worry any longer.

That man was waiting his entire life for that moment.

And I mean, fair enough. He clearly wanted to avenge Missandei.

It's a shame we didn't get to see any of Sansa or Bran this episode

Even Tyrion disappeared once the dragon got going. They couldn't be bothered to show him terrified on the outskirts of King's Landing?

Still bitter.

The CGI effects were amazing this episode, but how hard would it have been to give Ghost the boop on his nose that he deserved?

Can we talk about this whole scene?

And seeing the invincible Mountain without his helmet on is what nightmares were made of.

This moment was on of the highlights of the episode, no doubt.

You knew that this was going to be their last moment together and it was perfect. He really saved her.

Not going to lie, Arya should not have survived the episode.

Every other person is getting hit by falling rocks or burned alive, and she somehow managed to escape relatively unharmed? Seems fake but okay.

I can't wait to see that "I told you so" look in Sansa's eye.

Is there even a throne to win at this point? I guess time will tell.

It's not like there's even anyone to rule at this point.

So now the question is, who is going to be the one to kill Dany?

My money is on Arya, but I don't trust this show any longer, so we'll see.

As much as we all hate the "it was just a dream" trope, we're kind of hoping for it at this point.

Could you imagine though?

The truth summed up in this maze hurts.

Apparently, D&D don't need to follow a path of any kind — they do what they want and we have to suffer the consequences.

Ohhhhhhh! This makes more sense!

If only Apple never made this product. King's Landing would still be there!

But really, we know Dany just didn't give one care that the bells were rung.

She really came into King's Landing guns blazin', if you catch my drift.

Trying to watch this episode was no small feat.

Honestly. It felt like a battle in and of itself.

Here's to hoping next week is not like this.

Seriously — they should have had a warning to wear sunglasses.

While this episode was filled with literal fire, not everyone thought that the episode was actual fire.

While many of us had a feeling Dany would go all out, we were really hoping the writers wouldn't do that to us.

The bells went off, girl! You didn't have to!

Are many parents regretting their name choices for their children right about now?

If they are, they still have a chance at redemption if the book series ever gets finished.

If there's anything we can take away from Season 8 Episode 5, it's this.

It makes the episode a little bit better when you think of this scene in these terms.

Anyway, there's just one more episode left in the series.

Are the producers going to redeem themselves?

Let us know your thoughts!
