Model's Side-By-Side Pic Shows How Photoshop Can Completely Change Her Appearance

emily.mcwilliams 19 Feb 2019

Everyone knows that images in the media are usually retouched or altered with programs like Photoshop.

Even though this is common practice, how much these tools alter our perception of beauty is something we often forget.

One model is shedding light on these practices in a revealing Instagram photo that shows just how much these images are altered.

It's a good reminder not to take everything you see in the media at face value.

La'Tecia Thomas is a plus-size model from Australia.

Even though she's confident and secure with her body, La'Tecia has opened up about her own struggles.

She revealed in one Instagram post that she used to only let photographers take pictures of her face because she was so uncomfortable with seeing the rest of her body in photos.

Thankfully, that's not the case anymore.

I have to say that I agree with them! Sometimes you just can't argue with raw, natural beauty. Hopefully, more companies start realizing that people actually want to see untouched models in ads!
