People Can't Get Enough Of This Video Of A Cat Scratching Trump During Debate

During Tuesday night's first presidential debate, viewers on either side experienced a whole range of emotions while watching the two candidates battle it out in a verbal showdown on stage.

Reactions were shared all across the internet, with some individuals expressing pride for their presidential hopeful and others, disappointment. Some people were furious with the repeated interruptions, dissatisfied with a few questions' responses, and even downright upset with the way in which the evening's debate played out.

But it was one particular viewer's response to the event that has managed to capture so people's attention.

Oh, did I mention that viewer just so happened to be a cat?

On Tuesday night, the feline was filmed sitting on her human's TV stand while the debate played out on the screen in front of her.

Although most cats would likely hop down and hide somewhere to escape the noise of the two candidates' back and forth, this cat appeared keen on staying right where she was to listen to the discussion.

Her owner, Ashley Connor, managed to capture one especially poignant reaction the cat had to the night's debate.

In a now-viral video shared to her TikTok account, Ashley Connor showed her kitty making her political leanings quite clear as she got up on her hindlegs to quite literally scratch at the image of President Trump's face.

No, seriously.

During a moment in the debate where both candidates appeared in a side-by-side split screen, the unnamed kitty sought to take out the current POTUS using her own two paws.

Perhaps the funniest part of the entire clip is that the cat seems to pay absolutely no attention to Biden; her energy (and, presumably, fury) is entirely directed at Trump and Trump alone.

"She’s not a fan," Connor captioned the video.

That video quickly went viral, amassing nearly 1 million views and over 200,000 likes on TikTok.

It's only continued to spread across the internet as other users share the cat's hilarious reaction to listening to Trump talk over Biden during the debate.

This re-share of the video on Twitter already has more than 12,000 views, and plenty of comments from people speaking out in support of the scratching kitty.

Perhaps the best comments come from those attempting to explain the reasoning behind the cat's actions.

"The cat is trying to snatch that [rat's] nest he calls a toupee off his head," this person quipped.

Another added, "To everyone saying 'this cat is trying to scratch Trump', I have some bad news. This is common domestic cat behavior, the kitty here is simply trying to bury a big pile of poop."

Whatever the reason, one thing is clear: this cat is not a supporter.
