Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Pay Tribute To Princess Diana With Gardening Project

There are many ways that you can pay tribute to a loved one, but one of the most touching may be to plant something in their honor that can grow and bring joy to all of those around them.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, seemed to have a similar idea when it came to honoring Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.

Princess Diana remains a beloved figure for many across the globe.

Of course, she is beloved by none more than her family and her sons, Princes William and Harry, who recently announced plans to have a statue built to celebrate what would have been Diana's 60th birthday next year.

August 31st marked the 23rd anniversary of Diana's tragic passing.

It also happened to be the day that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined the classes at the Preschool Learning Center in Los Angeles and helped plant flowers and vegetables in their garden in a sweet project.

“Everyone got their hands dirty digging holes for the new plants and seeds and making sure they were secure with enough soil,” a source explained to *People*.

The source also revealed that Prince Harry paid tribute to his mother by planting Forget-Me-Not seeds, which was Diana's favorite flower.

The flower has been used by Meghan and Harry multiple times in tribute to Diana, including in one of the first photos of their baby Archie.

Meghan also included the flower in her bouquet on her wedding day.

What a touching tribute that we're sure Princess Diana would have loved!
