Australia Has An Annual Duck Fashion Show That Puts Paris To Shame

You know what I didn't realize the world needed more of in 2020? Ducks. Specifically, ducks dressed up in fancy outfits and strutting their way down a catwalk.

But the gods of the internet shined down this week by reminding me and the rest of Twitter that for the last 30 years or so, Sydney, Australia has been the home of an annual duck fashion show.

I mean, seriously, look at these amazing quackers.

The dog seems both excited and confused, which perfectly mirrors my own befuddled joy upon seeing these images.

Move over, Paris Fashion Week, because these ducks are putting your supermodels to shame.

The annual event is put on by farmer Brian Harrington, who works with a professional dressmaker to outfit his fashionable fowl.

The show is just one part of the Sydney Royal Easter Show, which celebrates Australian culture.

Of course, the 2020 show had to be canceled, because this year is the worst, but there are still plenty of pics of previous years' fashion.

Being an Easter event, the outfits often feel very festive.

There are plenty of florals and what's an Easter outfit without a perfectly matching hat?

Many shows feature more than one outfit for each duck, including the occasional bridal theme.

The models waddle down the runway with, admittedly, less-than-perfect grace.

Really though, that just adds to the charm of the whole thing and I, for one, am very happy to see the fashionable ducks go viral once again.
