DIYer Builds Life-Size Hobbit House That Looks Straight From The Shire

If you ever wanted to get sucked into a fantasy land from one of your favorite books, listen up. What if you could bring that fantasy into reality?

That's exactly what happened to one Lord of the Rings fan who lives in Scotland. This guy actually built himself a real-life Hobbit house and it's pretty incredible when you see it.

Get a load of this place. It looks exactly like Tolkien's Hobbit house.

I mean, an exact replica. Holy crap! I can't get over how realistic it looks. How was this guy even able to build something as impressive as this?

He must've studied every inch of the fictional house to get all this detail into his real thing.

If you're not as impressed by it as me you must be crazy. Ha, ha! I'm not even that big of a fan and I love it.

Isn't this entrance absolutely unbelievable or what?

I totally feel like I'm about to enter another world here. Funny thing — it's actually built to size. What I mean by that is that it's made for someone who's just five-feet-tall.

So if you're not that small you are going to have to duck. Ha, ha!

The house sits on a lovely hillside in Scotland. As you can see, it features a round door, grassy walls, and mossy roofs. There's even a pond nearby.

Now when you do step inside, it's just as impressive.

Where in the world did they even score furniture like that? Wow! The low ceilings are definitely best suited for a Hobbit. But I bet this guy manages to get around just fine.

This place looks quite cozy if you ask me.

So perhaps once you get settled in you'll soon forget about all the small surroundings. Am I right? I think I could get used to living here. Ha, ha! What do you think?

Speaking of cozy, there's even a cute little fireplace here as well.

If this guy has grandchildren, I bet they would love to relax and read some stories in this space. What a place for kids to grow their imagination. Right?

Speaking of cute, how nice is this little kitchen, too?

I would love to work on some comfort food recipes while looking at this view. You too? I'm really blown away with all these intricate home decor pieces included in this house.

So this whole tiny abode includes a living room complete with a sofa, and other cozy furnishings.

In addition to the aforementioned kitchen, there's also a dining room and a bedroom. And that's just on the first level mind you.

Then, there's a staircase that will lead you to the second floor.

Can you believe that? There you will find the bathroom, a study room, and a second bedroom. OMG! That's pretty cool if you ask me. I'm so amazed.

Check out this tiny but mighty bathroom here. And, take a look at that toilet. Ha, ha!

This throne is definitely fit for a Hobbit. Right? Isn't that a washing machine I see there, too? This place truly marries the old and the new.

This is probably my favorite view of the interior of this house.

I love looking at this winding staircase here. The whole area is mesmerizing to me. Do you feel the same way, too? I can't be the only one. Huh?

It looks to me as if no detail was spared to create an authentic experience here.

And all that hard work that went into building this was definitely worth it. This is truly a special place for a LOTR fan indeed.

So are you as impressed by this Hobbit-inspired fantasy land?

Oh my. I feel like I just took a wild trip straight to Middle Earth haha. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before, and perhaps I never will.
