Country Singer Chase Rice Sparks Outrage For Hosting Concert For 1000 People

The "Eyes On You" and "Lonely If You Are" singer, who is also known for his appearance and performance on Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor, has recently drawn backlash and sparked outrage for choosing to perform a concert for a packed crowd that were not wearing masks or socially distancing, at least in the footage he shared.

Many fans were not happy that Chase would host a concert to such a large crowd during the pandemic.

"Again, you can live your life while still acting responsibly. Your choices affect others, whether you care or not," one fan tweeted after sharing a video of the crowd at Chase's concert.

"Imagine being selfish enough to put thousands of people’s health at risk, not to mention the potential ripple effect, and play a NORMAL country concert right now. @ChaseRiceMusic, We all want (and need) to tour. We just care about our fans and their families enough to wait," she tweeted.

They said, "We drastically reduced our maximum venue capacity of 10,000 to 4,000 maximum capacity (lower than the state’s advisement of 50 percent) with less than 1,000 in attendance Saturday night, providing ample space in the outdoor lawn area for fans to spread out to their own comfort level."
