Influencer Recreates Popular Instagram Posts To Show The Truth Behind Them

A while ago I told you about Rianne Meijer, an Amsterdam-based Instagrammer who's not afraid to show it like it is. Since I wrote about her last year she has doubled her Instagram followers, and it's easy to see why.

She has made a point of showing us all just how clever some Instagrammers are when they pose for those seemingly perfect pictures.

And now she's back with even more super candid shots. Her 'Instagram vs Reality' shots are the ones that get a ton of likes.

I mean 70,000 likes on a post speaks volumes. No? Take a look at this one where she shows off her belly rolls. How often do you see that on Instagram?

Why is it that all the Instagram influencers always make hanging out with a friend look so dang glamorous?

When, in fact, it's more like the picture on the right. Am I correct or what? This one is worth a laugh.

Oh, how pretty is this picture where she's getting photobombed by her Boo?

How come these "candid" photos look better than the ones where I actually try to look good? Sounds like the story of my life. What about you? Does that sound familiar, too?

Is your mood better or worse after a workout? I gotta say, the before picture is pretty spot on here.

That's pretty much how I feel when I'm about to exercise, too. If only my abs looked this good after, though.

Does your stomach look flat before lunch, too? And then afterwards, it pretty much does what it wants to do.

But, don't worry — all you have to do is to pick the right angle and — voilà — problem solved. Ha, ha!

Oh yes, celebrating never looked so good. I gotta admit, I sometimes pose for fun pictures like this, too.

But what you don't know is that it took about 30 takes to get the Instagram-worthy shot. Woo-hoo!

Here's what happens when you brush your teeth without the camera in your face.

Can you guess which picture ends up on your Instagram feed? Isn't it quite the difference? This is exactly what I mean. Never believe what you see online.

Which picture closely resembles how you take a bath? The glammed-up version or the reality check on the right?

I would have to say neither for me. Ha, ha! But I would love to pretend that the first one is totally me.

Here comes the romantic picture of the day. Let's do it for the 'gram, baby! Hee, hee.

Do you also make your partner pose for one of those fake, romantic, Instagram-worthy shots, too? It's more like 200 pics for me (and sadly for my fiancé).

What about when you travel? Do you make sure you pick the perfect location to shoot?

And then when you do find it, you absolutely have to get your pose as ideal as possible. It's harder than it looks. LOL!

OMG, are you sick of seeing these types of pictures too? I mean, isn't this style like totally yesterday? For real.

I dunno about you, but I've never actually seen the sky look as pink as it does here.

If this isn't the most glamorous type of Instagram post I've seen, I dunno what is.

This is exactly what every influencer strives to achieve. Some of them even wake up at the crack of dawn to get it. Really.

Words cannot express how much I love this girl. And how she tries to keep it real.

It's so awesome to see somebody willing to make fun of the whole Instagram game, and not be afraid to make themselves look silly, too.
