Joker Is Just Another Character That Contributes To Toxic Masculinity

This isn't exactly the hottest take of the century, but it's one we really need to talk about.

Now that the iconic villain is getting his own film, it's time to take a real look at his personality.

Listen folks, we all love the Joker.

DC

And by love I mean, you either hate him but acknowledge the brilliance behind his original creation, or you just love his character in general.

However, there may be some issues with the new Joker movie coming out.

It contributes to toxic masculinity.

DC

Hey! Wait! Don't type that comment yet! Just let me tell you why and then tell me to quit writing.

The Joker has a pretty big toxic male following. Think about it: he's tortured, he hates society and Veronica always chooses Chad Batman over him.

So it's no wonder that a certain type of person always sides with him.

DC

Well, this new Joker movie kicks it up to 11.

It shows the origins of the Joker (which is a flawed concept, to begin with) and it tells the story of a man rejected by society.

What I'm saying is that it gives the wrong people the wrong ideas.

DC

And basically, he uses the fact that society is rejecting him as an excuse to be the worst human ever.

Yup, no thanks. Do you agree or disagree? Let us know in the comments!
