Harry Potter has been such a huge part of Hollywood and fans of both books and movies.

Not only that, but the movies opened the door for young adult and children's books to make their mark in Hollywood as films. Star Rupert Grint most popular for his role as Ron Welsley starring in famous film Harry Potter reveals some interesting facts that would shock Harry Potter fans.

So, you obviously know Rupert Grint.

He played Ron Weasley, the dorky, loyal, and extremely hilarious friend.

He went through a lot in the films.

He's lost a sibling, he's almost died (more than once), and worst of all...he went through puberty.

Rupert himself kind of stays out of the spotlight.

Think about it, you never really hear about him.

He just doesn't seem like he's interested in being super famous.

It has been revealed that Rupert Grint can't watch himself in the newer films.

But he has definitely watched the older ones.

“I did see Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone not long ago, for the first time since the premiere, and I actually enjoyed looking back,” he said.

So why can't he watch the more recent ones?

“But the more recent ones I definitely couldn’t do,” he said.

Why? He can't detach himself from the character.

Everything from the later ones just hits too close to home.

“I think those early ones are okay. More time has passed. I can detach myself a bit more from that kid,” he explained.
