No one saw what was coming.

Dany is dead, Bran is on the throne, Sansa is Queen of the North, Arya is gone, and Jon is at The Wall.

It's been quite a journey.

The critics are just tearing it apart.

There are a couple of decent reviews out there, but for the most part, people are unhappy with it.

A lot of fan theories didn't pan out.

Fans are doing the same thing.

Fans are extremely unhappy with how the show has ended up.

However, people tend to forget that it's not about what the fans wanted.

But maybe it should be.

If you disappoint all your fans, did you really do a good job? Maybe not.

Either way, people are mad.

Several celebs, both 'Game of Thrones' related and not, have weighed in on the harsh critiques that've been flooding in.

And so far, those on the other end of things seem pretty peeved that fans have the gall to tear apart a show that people have worked so hard on, for so long.

Lili Reinhart, the star of Netflix's 'Riverdale' had some choice words for fans demanding a remake of the season.

She wrote this lengthy Instagram story after commenting that "this is not how television works... TV shows are not fan service. It's ridiculous of people to think they can demand creative change from artists."

Though valid, many were quick to point out that Riverdale is largely written as a fan service.

Sophie Turner spoke up about the backlash as well.

In an interview with The New York Times she said, "All of these petitions and things like that — I think it’s disrespectful to the crew, and the writers, and the filmmakers who have worked tirelessly over 10 years, and for 11 months shooting the last season."

'Game of Thrones' actor Isaac Hempstead Wright who plays Bran, called the same petition "absurd."

He told The Hollywood Reporter, "I can't even fathom it. It's just ridiculous. It's ridiculous that people think they can just demand a different ending because they don't like it. I have stupidly taken it quite personally, which obviously I shouldn't. In my opinion, it's a great ending."

Kit Harington has something a little more spicy to say about it.

He is not someone who likes to shy away from a fight, just like a true Stark.

(Yes, we don't care what they say, he's Ned Stark's son.)

He has a pretty intense message for the critics.

Kit told Esquire, “Whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their judgment on it, in my head they can go [expletive] themselves. Because I know how much work was put into this.”

Will that be enough to stop the petition?

Probably not.

But good for him for saying something. The actors worked very hard for eight seasons, so we're happy he got the final word on the matter.

As for the rest of the cast, well, take a look at this video and see for yourself.

Our Mad Queen seems like she can barely control her disappointment, "best season ever!" she says sarcastically.

When all is said and done, the fans were lucky to have the first five-ish seasons of impeccible writing.

And the rest of the series was still full of wonderful twists, amazing acting, and CGI magic that's never graced televisions before.

So maybe they didn't stick the landing... But they sure did sick the rest!
