Meghan Markle once again made headlines, but this time for speaking out against the double standard she's noticed between men's and women's sexualities. In a recent episode of her podcast, Archetypes, which was released on Spotify this past Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex talked about how she feels men are celebrated for exploring their sexuality, while women are often vilified.

"I don’t understand what it is about the stigma surrounding women and their sexuality and the exploration of their sexuality that is so much more vilified than for a man," she said during the podcast, according to Page Six.

She Went On To Discuss How A Woman's Sexuality Will Oftentimes Be Used Against Her.

"...for a woman, I don’t care if she’s perhaps the most successful woman in finance in her mid-50s, I promise you, someone will still go, 'But she was such a slut in college,'" she continued in the podcast.

This Comes Not Long After Admitting Her Job On 'Deal Or No Deal' Made Her Feel Like A Bimbo.

In an earlier episode of the same podcast from October, Markle spoke about her brief role as a suitcase model on the game show, but ended up quitting in 2007 because she felt that she was being objectified and reduced to a "bimbo."

She spoke about her experiences on Deal or No Deal, discussing how she felt that her looks were the sole purpose of her appearances, and she was unable to have any substance beyond that.

"I was grateful for the job, but not about how it made me feel, which was not smart,” she said at the time. “By the way, I was surrounded by smart women … but that wasn’t the focus."

Markle Received Backlash For Her Comments By Social Media Users Who Pointed Out Hypocrisy In Her Words.

Social media users on Twitter pointed out that, after leaving her Deal or No Deal job, Markle had a brief appearance on the 90210 reboot, in which she was seen performing sexual acts on another character. Users felt that for her to leave a job over feeling objectified, only to take another job where her sole role was to be sexualized, was hypocritical on Markle's part.

However, Whoopi Goldberg Came To The Duchess' Defense.

"When you’re a performer, you take the gig," Goldberg said. "Sometimes, you’re in a Bozo suit, sometimes you got a big nose, and this is just the way it is."
